Stewardship and legal defence of conservation lands in Canada’s southern landscapes is critically important to achieving national biodiversity targets and supporting climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts. Having published our “Forever Protected” report in the fall of 2022, we are now exploring the feasibility of a sector wide approach to stewardship endowment and legal defence, two long-standing concerns for private land conservation organizations.
