About the Centre for Land Conservation
About Us
The Centre for Land Conservation (CLC) exists to create a strong, diverse, and resilient force for land conservation, so that nature and communities can thrive together for generations to come. Our vision is to empower excellence, entrepreneurship, and innovation in the frontlines of conservation in communities across Canada.
Every day, we aim to grow and strengthen respectful land conservation and stewardship through collaboration, research, innovation, and the promotion of responsible practices.
CLC is the only independent organization in Canada with the sole focus of supporting all of those who work on the frontlines of conservation. We bring decades of experience and expertise to identify and address the barriers they face, while developing and delivering solutions that empower them to achieve their critical missions.
Our commitment is to deliver relevant, innovative solutions that enable organizations and land stewards to achieve lasting conservation results.

Our Mission
To grow and strengthen respectful land conservation and stewardship through collaboration, research, innovation, and the promotion of responsible practices.
Strategic Plan
The Centre for Land Conservation’s (CLC) Strategic Plan 2024-2030 charts our ambitious path forward as a national hub for private land conservation and stewardship. Through three core goals—strengthening conservation standards and practices, advancing strategic policy development, and ensuring organizational excellence—we are positioned to significantly expand our impact on land conservation and stewardship across Canada. This comprehensive plan reflects our commitment to building a more effective, collaborative, and well-resourced conservation community that can meet the urgent challenges facing nature in Canada.
